Emanuele Vignoli will take the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HSBC in Luxembourg, succeeding Niccolo Polli who has been promoted to head of strategy & planning Europe and chief of staff to the Europe CEO.

The appointment of Vignoli will become effective on 1 March, subject to regulatory approval. He currently occupies the position of managing director, regional head of global liquidity & cash management – UK & Europe international. Vignoli worked with ABN AMRO and Citibank prior to joining HSBC. The company’s four main business lines in Luxembourg include asset management, corporate banking, private banking, and securities services.

This will help us further drive our ambition to be the preferred international financial partner for our clients,” stated Vignoli in a press release.
