Is there anything better than celebrating your birthday surrounded by friends? It is precisely what the Fondation EME plans to do on 06.07 with a concert celebrating diversity and unity.

Since 2009, the Fondation EME has worked to promote the inclusion and wellbeing of the most vulnerable members of our society with the help of music. To celebrate its 15th birthday, you are invited to participate in the “All Together” project at the Kinnekswiss on 06.07.

Over 300 people coming from 10 inclusive choirs spread across different regions of Luxembourg have been involved in this initiative over the last few months. They are ready to give their all at the final concert, the highlight of months of rehearsals with professional artists since February.

A project that could not be more Luxembourgish, as it embodies the values of inclusion, diversity, as well as multiculturalism. Anyone wishing to listen or to sing along is more than welcome! It is a unique opportunity to see people of all walks of life together on stage: elderly citizens, people with special needs or affected by various diseases (Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s…), refugees, children living in childcare facilities, but also their loved ones and supervisors, all united through music and singing.

This diversity can also be found in the concert’s programme, which blends traditional hymns along with pop songs. Let yourself be moved by Bridge over troubled water, a timeless classic, before being carried away by the more contemporary sounds of You will be found, coming straight from Broadway, and finally discovering the EME Song, which was composed for the Fondation.

Everything has been planned for the concert to be as accessible and accommodating as possible. Don’t know the tunes? No worries: the lyrics will be displayed on large screens so you can follow. What’s more, people with impaired hearing can count on the help of vibrating vests and on a sign-language interpreter on stage. Finally, those truly passionate about getting to the heart of the matter can do so by singing in the open rehearsals and the concert.

So, see you at the Kinnekswiss on 06.07 at 11:00! You will be warmly welcomed.
