A recent event hosted by the Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg highlighted the evolving relationship between India and Luxembourg in the fields of knowledge and technology. Held on Tuesday 7 November at the EY Auditorium, the event saw over 60 attendees from various business sectors.

Exploring the future of fintech and AI, the Indian business chamber brought together industry experts to showcase the strengthening of India-Luxembourg partnerships in technology and knowledge exchange on Tuesday 7 November, highlighting potential growth and innovation opportunities.

The session, attended by over 60 particpants, commenced with a keynote from Chris Hollifield, head of business development at Luxembourg for Finance, where he underscored the technological strides in sectors like fintech and digital payments in emerging markets, particularly India.

Ashok Kumar, advisor and head of industry and engineering at the embassy of India in Brussels, presented on India’s policies that could benefit Luxembourg, citing examples from urban and rural sectors.

A panel discussion featured insights from industry representatives like Anjani Ladia from IQEQ, Pranjul Shah from the University of Luxembourg, from Talkwalker, and Manoj Kumar from Aperam. Key points included leveraging India’s software engineering, data science and AI talent pool, and the necessity for corporates in Luxembourg to create awareness for further growth opportunities.

The panel also discussed the importance of cultural alignment, understanding EU regulations and aligning working methods through training while offshoring. Emphasis was placed on partnerships between universities and incubators in both countries to bolster talent development.
