The bank ING has awarded a €5,000 prize to 7 not-for-profit organisations, as part of its annual effort “to support and promote the Luxembourg non-profit sector.” It granted the prizes in four categories.

Financial inclusion

ING said the financial inclusion category recognised “entities working to improve the financial condition of individuals, for example through education or social and economic integration.” and each received a €5,000 award.

Environmental protection

and were recognised for, ING stated, “working to protect the environment.”

Inclusion

and were honoured for a project “that encourages social inclusion.”

Coup de Cœur

The “Coup de Cœur” (jury’s choice) prize went to , which supports newly arrived migrants.

The ING Solidarity Awards 2023 ceremony took place on 7 December, with the winners officially by the bank on 14 December.

The jury was composed of Anne-Marie Loesch, head of sustainability and business development at the House of Sustainability; , director of IMS Luxembourg; , director of human resources at ING in Luxembourg; , board member at ING in Luxembourg; Anthony Collignon, business analyst at ING in Luxembourg; , general manager at Uless; and Patrick Chillet, head of the internal audit department at ING in Luxembourg.

ING has 13 bank branches in the grand duchy. It employed 985 people in Luxembourg and its mortgage book was €3.6bn at the end of 2022.
