Currently a member of the board at Beaulieu International Group, Capital at Work Group and Unibreda, saw his nomination approved by local supervisory authorities. “I am very happy to join the board of ING in Luxembourg, an important link in the ING Group and a real player on the Luxembourg scene. The Belgian national has a long career in the banking sector, becoming managing director of Pierson, Heldring & Pierson Belgium in 1992 before eventually becoming CEO of the group. Following the acquisition of MeesPierson by Fortis in 1996, he joined the Executive Committee of Fortis Private Banking as CEO, Fortis Retail Banking Belgium.
In 2011, he was appointed board member of AG Insurance and BNPParibas Asset Management. In 2018, Vandekerckhove (now Quintet) in Luxembourg.
ING Luxembourg CEO Michael Burch commented on the nomination, stating that “Peter brings extensive board experience in Europe and Asia in the areas of banking and asset management.
