After having been forced to cancel the 2020 and 2021 editions due to the health crisis, Erich François, organiser of the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg, has made the return of the event official.

In 2021, Luxembourg's number one sporting event was cancelled three weeks before the start. The organisers then announced 28 May 2022 as the date for the marathon's next edition. Finally, the 15th edition of the Luxembourg Night Marathon will take place in a little over six months. The organisers hope that more than 16,000 runners will once again take part in the event.
