The awards aim at honouring innovative tourism project developed between 2018 and 2020 that have helped improve the country’s offer to visitors.

“The winners of the Luxembourg Tourism Awards have all demonstrated dynamism, passion, creativity and exceptional entrepreneurial spirit,” Delles said, adding that the winners should serve as inspiration to encourage other to develop new ideas.

“I welcome the evolution of our offer; I appreciate the efforts made by the players in the sector and I encourage them to continue on this path,” the minister said.

The winners of this year’s Luxembourg Tourism Awards:

·      Hotel Graace: The hotel was selected for its sustainable approach to tourism, striking a balance between tradition and modernity.

·      Camping Park Beaufort: The campsite in 2018 built wooden chalets shaped like tipis, a popular choice with families and school groups.

·      Escher Bamhaiser: Offering an unusual perspective, these sleeping pods are perched in the trees of the Esch animal park.

·      Centre recréatif au lac d’Echternach: The leisure centre at Echternach lake’s offers numerous activities for visitors and residents in the region.

·      Escher Déierepark: The Esch animal park is home to around 150 animals on a two-hectare site and underwent a redesign, offering an educational farm and playgrounds.

·      Hotel-Restaurant Airfield: The hotel first opened in 1947 and was entirely renovated in 2017, reopening its doors in 2018.

·      Sightseeing.lu: This mobile application offers information on 120 tourism sites in Luxembourg.

·      Esch-sur-Alzette: The communes as a whole was rewarded for reinventing itself in the wake of the decline of the steel industry.

·      Explore.lu: Operated by Georges Krack, this minibus takes visitors on tours around the country with additional offers, for example wine and crémant tastings.
