A group of twenty cyclists, all from the real estate or construction sector, set out from Inowai in Luxembourg on Thursday to ride the 1,100 kilometers to the Mipim conference in Cannes.

The cyclists hope to complete their marathon ride in around six days and will raise significant sums for KickCancer in Belgium and the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner in Luxembourg.

Despite experiencing a headwind over the first few days of the ride--and some cyclists nursing sore calves--morale remains high.

The Mipim real estate event attracts over 25,000  international property professionals every year,

“This challenge is, for us who are all active in real estate, in various capacities, to live a common experience, but also to discover us differently,” said Jean-Nicolas Montrieux, managing director of Inowai.

It is the fifth time Inowai has organised the Recycle2Mipim event. By Monday the riders had raised over €40,000 for the two charities and the aim is to get a final total above €50,000 by the time they arrive in Cannes sometime on Tuesday.
