RTL, Maison Moderne and Markom are joining forces to launch a new award for creativity in advertising and communication.

“Collaboration between the media and agencies is mutually enriching,” says Thierry Wunsch, president of Markom, the association of marketing and communication consultancies in Luxembourg, founded in 1995. “We share the same vision, that of adding value to the communication campaigns of our common clients, the advertisers.”

“New name, same ambitions! The Leo Awards 2022 are an opportunity to bring together the communication and advertising community and to honour the best in this universe,” adds Christophe Goossens, CEO of RTL Lëtzebuerg.

The “Leo Awards--Luxembourg Creative Advertising Awards” competition rewards creativity in the field of advertising and communication. It brings a new dynamic and follows the .

New name, new concept.

From now on, awards will be given in the following categories:

- Image campaign (awareness),

- Brand activation, non-profit (NGOs, institutional),

- One Shot (micro-enterprises),

- Live experience (events, sponsorship activities),

- Small business.

“Rewarding advertising campaigns according to their distribution channel was becoming obsolete. Today, all campaigns are cross-media,” says Thierry Wunsch.

An independent jury, to be revealed in mid-July when the nominations are announced, will select the best campaigns and operations that have distinguished themselves in the new categories.

“Successful communication requires ambitious advertisers, specialist agencies and strong media,” adds Mike Koedinger, CEO of Maison Moderne, the publisher of Paperjam and Delano. “It’s important to celebrate excellence, to recognise the work of teams both at the advertiser and at the agency and to promote these best practices to inspire companies and institutions that communicate.”

Projects (from November 2019 to June 2022) can be submitted between 2 May and 7 June via the website .

The award ceremony will take place at a dinner on 6 October 2022 in Luxembourg City. Companies and institutions can reserve tables from mid-July.
