This was followed by the acquisition of an industrial building on a plot of land of more than 10,000m2, located in the Wolser economic activity zone between Bettembourg and Dudelange (an area that Fage was supposed to invest in before ). When questioned, neither of the two players was able to communicate the amount of the investment before the publication of this article. Neither could they give a date when the company would start its activity in the grand duchy.
JCR Pharmaceuticals employs a total of 800 people and had sales of €360m (¥51 billion) in 2021, , up 69.8%. It specialises in the research, manufacture and sale of pharmaceutical products for the treatment of rare and genetic diseases.
“The activities to be developed by JCR will complement those of LuxairCargo’s existing Pharma Hub logistics. Our agreement with JCR will strengthen our position as a resilient pharmaceutical supply chain ecosystem,” commented Fayot. For JCR, this is another step towards its global expansion.
