Jerry Grbic, currently CEO of Fortuna Banque, will replace Yves Maas as head of the Luxembourg Bankers' Association.

Maas had ad interim after Serge de Cillia left the association (ABBL) at the end of 2019. The mandate was extended until April 2022 due to the pandemic, which halted recruitment.

The ABBL finally succeeded in finding someone for the high-profile job, as it announced the appointment of Jerry Grbic from 1 April 2022. He currently works as CEO of Fortuna Bank, which he joined in 2015. The Luxembourg native began his career at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) in 1996, after studying in Brussels. He held support and credit analysis positions before moving into sales, where he helped develop an offer dedicated to the liberal professions.

In 2003, he took charge of a portfolio of large corporate clients before being made responsible for the department in 2006. He left BIL in 2008 and joined Bank Degroof to develop the Luxembourg market, and then Fortuna Bank in 2012.

"Jerry will ensure that the ABBL continues to be a relevant and influential partner in the development of the financial sector in Luxembourg," commented Guy Hoffmann, its president.
