The Big 4 firm KPMG Luxembourg has announced the appointment of 12 partners and managing directors: eight of them have been promoted internally; four of them are new additions to the firm.

KPMG Luxembourg on 11 July 2024 the appointment of 12 partners and managing directors. Eight people (two in audit, four in tax, and two in advisory) have been promoted and will take up their new role as of 1 October 2024. They are:

Benedikt Barz: audit partner in the bank/insurance team. Barz has more than 11 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Simon Denis: tax partner and part of the alternative investments team.

Rhenie de Vries: audit partner who specialises in commercial and industrial companies, as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) topic analysis.

Edouard Fort: tax partner in the financial services tax department.

Julien Ghys: tax partner with experience in tax advisory services.

Lana Khoury: partner in advisory with a focus on innovation, data, AI and CIO advisory.

Dieter Putzeys: partner in advisory and expert in life, non-life and reinsurance.

Jacques Bortuzzo: managing director in tax and head of China desk.

KPMG Luxembourg also welcomed three partners and a managing director to the firm. They are:

Cindyrella Amistadi: joined KPMG’s advisory group as a new partner who specialises in risk & investment services.

Vincent De Santis: joined as a partner in the deal advisory team.

Cecile Louchard-de Barsy: joined as a managing director in advisory to develop AML/KYC tools and services.

Xavier Roch-Lhotellier: new partner in advisory who leads digital transformation activities in the management consulting team.

Commenting on the promotions, KPMG Luxembourg’s managing partner said in the company’s communiqué: “We aim to prepare the firm for the future and since these people are relentlessly contributing to the firm’s transformational journey, I can only feel energised by their promotion for their hard work, striving for the highest levels of quality in our service delivery and growth mindset.

For its 2023 fiscal year, KPMG Luxembourg reported revenue of €319m, a 16% increase compared to the previous year.
