They are the Luxembourg of tomorrow. They have a head full of ideas and a crazy desire to make them a reality. What do they have in common? They are under 40 and represent Luxembourg’s #Nextgen. Each day, discover the portraits of these 100 women and men who make up the new face of the country. In this instalment: Laurent Hengesch at Ilavska Vuillermoz Capital.

Co-founder, with Alain Wildanger, of Ilavska Vuillermoz Capital in 2019, , 34, began his career as a business developer at Carey Group, before joining Warburg Bank as head of business development.

IVC has rapidly become a leading alternative investment company in Luxembourg, managing one of the fastest growing fintech investment funds in Europe. Employing around ten people, the company has invested in more than 20 companies in recent years, including N26, Solaris, Qonto and Teylor, and last March launched its climatetech fund. “We’re in the process of planning something very special, but I can’t divulge anything yet,” confides Hengesch.

He believes that “Luxembourg should focus more on itself and start developing its own economic agenda. We should stop following others and start leading again.”
