Luxembourgish is one of three official languages in the grand duchy. The language, which has existed for centuries, is experiencing a renaissance.

As Dr Kristine Horner, director of the centre for Luxembourg studies at Sheffield University in the UK, says: “It’s more widely spoken than ever before, in terms of the overall number of speakers. In this podcast, Dr Horner examines the landmarks that have shaped perceptions about the language and explains what it offers students at a university in the north of England.
