on 2 September won’t be empty for long. The top-of-the-range fashion chain Loulou, which has two shops in northern France, is preparing to move in. Its opening is scheduled for March 2025.
Loulou is not new to Luxembourg, with two shops already open at Massen Shopping Centre and Knauf Shopping Centre. The store offers clothes from brands such as Bash, Cavalli, Zadig&Voltaire, Liujo, IKKS, Karl Lagerfeld, The Kooples, IRO, Lancel, Hugo Boss, K-Way and Max Mara.
The store belongs to the Belgian group that owns the eleven Ville Neuve shops on the other side of the border as well as in the grand duchy (Belle Étoile, Knauf Shopping Centre Pommerloch and Schmiede, Cloche d’Or, Massen Shopping Centre). “While we wait for work to start and the new spring-summer collections to be delivered, Ville Neuve will be offering a destocking area in the same cell,” says Céline Vannier, deputy manager of the Belle Étoile.
Kiko opens fourth location in nine months
On Friday 20 September, the shopping centre welcomed the opening of Italian cosmetics retailer Kiko, which continues to expand its network.
“The first weekend was very promising, and the shop immediately became number one in the network,” says Vannier. The transalpine brand, which , now has four points of sale in the country. Before the summer, it set up shop at Belval Plaza. The owner of the brand’s master franchise, Sébastien Baulin, is aiming for six to seven shops in the grand duchy, where he intends to make Kiko the market leader in cosmetics.
In the beauty department, the Annette Weber-Krier institute, which has been operating in the city for several decades, is preparing to open a second location in the shopping centre.
At the end of October, the ninth outlet of La Boutique du Coiffeur, which divides its business between city centres and shopping centres, is also due to open.
Just before the summer break, the Belle Étoile welcomed Dutch shoe manufacturer Manfield, which has now set up shop in Luxembourg.
