Martine Capus, deputy head of operations oversight at Amundi Luxembourg, was honoured with the role model of the year award from Fondsfrauen, underscoring her pivotal contributions to gender diversity in the finance sector.
In its endeavour to acknowledge individuals advancing gender diversity in the asset management sector, Fondsfrauen held its on 13 October 2023. At the luncheon, the awards aimed to highlight professionals dedicated to upholding equality and diversity in finance.The event celebrated 16 financial experts, with one double nomination, reflecting the exemplary standards of that year’s nominees. These professionals, of both genders, were lauded for their commitment to enhancing diversity in finance. Fondsfrauen recognised them as role models who inspired and supported women in the industry. Prior to the event, Fondsfrauen, which has a membership close to 4,000, invited nominations from both men and women across five award categories.
A significant accolade of the day was presented to Martine Capus of Amundi Luxembourg. Beyond her official role, Capus has been instrumental in supporting the Fund Women network in Luxembourg. Fondsfrauen noted that her relentless commitment has benefitted numerous women in the Luxembourg finance sector, helping them to expand their professional networks. Her passion and dedication have been widely praised.
Other award recipients included BNY Mellon as the company of the year. Zurich-based Christel Rendu de Lint of Vontobel was named woman of the year, while Noushin Irani from DWS in Frankfurt was honoured as fund manager of the year. Cologne-based Ann-Kathrin Behringer, also from DWS, received the rising talent of the year award.
