The men’s national team is playing a series of European Sub Regional qualifiers in Finland starting on Sunday.

The Luxembourg men’s national cricket team has headed off to Finland to play in a qualifying tournament for the 2024 International Cricket Council Men’s T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and USA.

Their opponents in the tournament include Austria, Guernsey, Bulgaria and Slovenia. Luxembourg ranks in the middle of the pack of the five teams. The winner in the group will play a knock-out final against the winner of the other group competing next week.

The winners of that will go forward to the Regional Final to be played next year, with the top two in that competition qualifying for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Luxembourg starts against Austria on Sunday at 10am, then plays Guernsey on Monday at 3pm. The match against Bulgaria is scheduled for Thursday 28 July at 10am, with the final group game against Slovenia on Saturday 30 July at 3pm. Sunday 31 July is finals day, starting at 10am
