The Skoda Tour de Luxembourg pro cycle race will start in Luxembourg City on Tuesday and continue across the country until 18 September, leading to public transport and traffic disruptions along its course.

The annual event is one of the highlights in Luxembourg’s sporting calendar and this year will be no exception.

However, for people making their way into the city on Tuesday, bus traffic along several lines (6, 16, 18, 21, 25, 30 and 32) will be disrupted between 9am and 8pm. In addition overland busses (RGTR) will also skip several stops and drive alternative routes (109, 110, 111, 155 to 159, 184, 299, 300, 303 and 323).

From Luxembourg City, the tour heads to Steinfort and Eschdorf on Wednesday, Mondorf-les-Bains and Mamer on Thursday, Dudelange on Friday and heading from Mersch back to Luxembourg City on Saturday.

A full list of public transport disruptions is available online.

Participants in last year’s race staged a strike during the second stage of the race over safety concerns and complaints of too many cars on the road.
