The number of bonds on the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX) has risen by 7% so far this year and by 25% since the end of 2022.

The Luxembourg Stock Exchange’s sustainable finance platform has added more than 100 new bonds since February, meaning the total number of listings has doubled in less than three years.

The Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX) had 2,000 green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked (GSSS) bonds, the exchange on 10 April 2024. The figure was 1,000 in May 2021.

The total value of listed bonds was at least €1trn, according to the exchange’s website.

Issuers include multilateral development banks, financial institutions and corporates, with funds raised financing renewable energy, education, health, housing and other projects.
