Consumer confidence in Luxembourg fell in July, according to a press release from the central bank of Luxembourg.

“All the components of the indicator have evolved unfavourably this month,” the central bank of Luxembourg (Banque centrale du Luxembourg), referring to July.

Overall, the indicator fell five points from -12 to -17, the same rating as six months ago.

The central bank’s press release includes data going back to June 2021, when consumer confidence scored 2. The following month it fell to -3 and, since then, has never again achieved a positive rating. The lowest score on record was -29 in September 2022.

The central bank explains that the indicator is made up of the arithmetic mean of the four indicators, which are seasonally adjusted.
