Forms for businesses and private people affected by this week’s floods to apply for compensation are now available online.

The rapid financial support is aimed at private households, companies and farms affected by the extreme rainfall from 14 July onwards. Applications must be submitted before 31 December 2021 to be considered.

Artisanal, commercial, tourist or industrial enterprises that have suffered damage as a direct consequence of the bad weather can also apply for financial aid if they have suffered material damage to assets including buildings, equipment, machinery or stock.

To be considered, the damage must be assessed by an independent certified surveyor or insurance adjuster. Only costs that are not covered by insurance are eligible. In addition, the companies concerned must have an establishment permit issued by the Directorate General for the Middle Classes. The application file must include the name and size of the company and the report of the independent certified expert or the insurance expert.
