Luxembourgers and French nationals make up the largest nationality groups in Luxembourg’s four public European schools.

Figures published by the education minister responding to a suggest that of the 2,493 learners enrolled across the four schools, respectively in Mondorf-les-Bains, Clervaux, Junglinster and Differdange, 469 were French nationals and 743 were Luxembourgers.

The third most commonly found passport among learners was Portuguese, with 265 learners.

The European-accredited schools follow the European school network curriculum, offering a fee-free education in different language streams, notably in English, French and German.  Starting September 2021, Luxembourg will open a in Mersch and a will follow in Cessange (primary) and Merl (secondary) in 2022.
