Odin Automotive, a Luxembourg-based investment company founded in mid-September by three businessmen, is interested in buying Deutsche Post's electric car manufacturing subsidiary.

StreetScooter could become partly Luxembourg-based, according to German news outlet Die Welt. Based in Aachen, the subsidiary of the logistics group Deutsche Post is used for the construction of electric trucks and vans. Deutsche Post had bought it in 2014 to equip a large part of its fleet. The subsidiary is generating losses and could be bought out entirely by Odin Automotive, which has contacted the relevant official authorities, Die Welt reports.

Odin Automotive was founded on 17 September 2021 in Luxembourg. On the register of commerce and companies, its corporate purpose is stated as "acquisition of holdings in companies in Luxembourg or abroad.”

Stefan Krause, one of the three shareholders, has served on the boards of BMW and Deutsche Bank. His two partners are Djamal Attamini, board member of the Indonesian mining group Toba Bara, and Matthew Paul Richards, director of the Indonesian telecommunications company Trikomsel Oke.

The StreetScooter brand was in Luxembourg by Cube4T8, a Losch company.
