The shortlist for the 2021 Lëtzebuerger Buchpräis was unveiled on Friday and includes two nominations for an English-language book. John Marshall’s #LuxUKLinks, published in Ocotober 2020, delves into the historical, diplomatic, cultural and business connections between the UK and Luxembourg.
“What I show through #LuxUKLinks is moments in time when the stories of our two countries have come together, or where people from one country have left a mark in the other,” Marshall said at a . The book has now been shortlisted in the best non-fiction and the brand-new best design categories for this year’s Lëtzebuerger Buchpräis (Luxemborg book prize)
The shortlist of 14 books in four different catrgeroies will now be poured over by a jury comprising journalst Marcel Kieffer, author Isabelle Marinov, book store owner Romy Liefgen, graphic artist Miriam Rosner and national literary centre curator Pascal Seil.
The awards take place on 18 November at a ceremony in Walferdange ahead of the Walfer Bicherdeeg festival.
