Marc Lauer is a well connected man and a speaker who does not mince words. An engaged and unapologetic insurance executive, he likes to relax with his friends in Luxembourg, as well as in Sweden, his ‘other’ home.

Marc Lauer is CEO and managing director of the insurance group Foyer, where he has worked since 2004. In parallel, he is also chairman of the board of directors of Raiffeisen Vie, another insurer, and a director of the Foyer Assurances, Foyer Vie, Wealins and Capitalatwork Foyer Group. He is chairman of the Luxembourg Insurance and Reinsurance Association (Aca) and the National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility (INDR). He is also a founding member of the Luxembourg Institute of Actuaries (Ilac). He speaks Luxembourgish, French, English, German and Swedish.

An epicurean, he enjoys golf club chic (with polished shoes), walks with his dog and cordon bleu.
