Marcel Bartnik will lead Vandenbulke’s investment funds practice, said the law firm in a press release published at the end of January 2024.
“I am excited to join the firm and contribute my expertise to bring their investment fund practice to the next level, building upon their existing strong platform for our common clients,” said Bartnik in the communiqué.
A German national, Bartnik has been representing fund sponsors, asset managers and investment advisors with the structuring and distribution of Luxembourg investment funds since 2005. His work focuses on alternative investment funds, though he also has experience with retail products such as undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (Ucits) or part II funds. Bartnik previously worked at Bonn & Schmitt, GSK Stockmann, DLA Piper and Arendt & Medernach.
“With Marcel, we are now in an excellent position to offer fund initiators and investors a complete range of services for sophisticated matters related to all aspects of their business and operation,” commented Denis Van den Bulke, the firm’s managing partner.
Bartnik is the second partner to join the firm in the past six months, noted the press release. In September 2023, Nicolas Mille joined the firm as partner in its banking and finance practice. Founded in 2005, Vandenbulke specialises in corporate, finance and tax law.
