Maria Thorsted has been named head of Luxembourg at Langham Hall, the firm announced on 9 January. Thorsted was previously head of Luxembourg operations.

Fund services provider Langham Hall announced on 9 January the appointment of three new heads of jurisdiction in Jersey, Luxembourg and the United States. Maria Thorsted has been named head of Luxembourg for the firm, moving from the role of head of Luxembourg operations.

Thorsted, who joined Langham Hall in May 2023, previously worked as chief operating officer at Hubfinance.com, chief operating officer and head of business support and transformation at Quintet Private Bank, head of private banking international office at Nordea, and as product and market development director at The OneLife Company in Luxembourg. She graduated from the University of Copenhagen with a degree in economics and speaks English, French and Danish.

Keith McShea will take on the role of chairman of Langham Hall Luxembourg, the firm added in its press release.

Present in the grand duchy since 2009, Langham Hall Luxembourg provides transfer agency and administration services to specialised investment funds (Sifs), sociétés d’investissement en capital à risque (Sicars), unregulated funds and special purpose vehicles (SPVs). It is also authorised to act as depositary to firms investing in closed-ended private equity, real estate, infrastructure and debt.
