Qover, an insurtech company, a collaboration with Mastercard on Friday 15 November 2024, to offer an embedded return shipping protection service for Mastercard credit cardholders in Belgium and Luxembourg. The service reimburses shipping fees for returns when retailers do not provide free return options. Available through Mastercard’s local websites, mastercard.be and mastercard.lu, it is being introduced as a unique benefit for Mastercard users in both countries.

The return shipping protection covers up to €30 per return, with a maximum of three claims per year, allowing for a total reimbursement of up to €90 annually. The service is available to all Mastercard credit cardholders in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Quentin Colmant, CEO and co-founder of Qover, commented in the announcement that embedded protection services are becoming increasingly important for businesses seeking to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.  For Mastercard, the partnership with Qover aims to strengthen customer loyalty and differentiate its credit card offerings in a competitive market. Henri Dewaerheijd, country manager for Mastercard Belgium and Luxembourg, explained that the return shipping protection adds value to Mastercard credit cards for online purchases and improves the shopping experience for customers in both countries.
