McDonald's after months of works opened its new location in the Gare district of Luxembourg City on 18 October.

Passers-by on Avenue de la Gare were able to see the opening of the McDonald's on the corner of Rue de Bonnevoie on Monday. The opening was very discreet, without the slightest communication on site, on the internet or on social networks over the last few weeks, after several months of work, from the  main construction works to the final touches that could be seen recently.

As reported this summer, the Luxembourg company Moore Food will be operating this new restaurant, the 12th to be opened in the grand duchy, according to the official website of McDonald's in Luxembourg. The others are located in Place d'Armes in the capital, Strassen, Foetz, Ingeldorf, Remich, Bereldange, the Kinepolis Kirchberg cinema, the La Belle Étoile shopping centre, the Berchem service station, Bascharage, and recently Pommerloch.

McDonald's has returned to the station area, a little more than two years after leaving 49 Avenue de la Gare. This will revitalise the busy axis, which has been plagued by the closure of many shops in recent months.

The  restaurant opened this Monday and has a takeaway service and an on-site restaurant on the first floor.
