Paperjam: What is your vision as an entrepreneur?
Samuel Kubiak: I was head of sales, with a great package, a nice company car… everything was going well. But I also had a real entrepreneurial vision. My goal is clear: to build a company of around 20 people within five years that provides quality services.
I’m not looking to reach €3m in sales by the end of 2025. I’m 35 years old, I’ve got a child aged two-and-a-half, my wife set up her own marketing business a year ago, I’ve got a house in Luxembourg. It’s not an adventure where, if I fail, I immediately go back to another project.
Is there a “green” side to the company?
Yes, even though I’ve been warned about greenwashing.
It’s a shame: if someone drives a Lamborghini Urus and doesn’t say anything about being green, no one will make any comments. But as soon as you try to make a small gesture, you get criticised.
What sets your company apart?
I have a real understanding of needs as a user. The idea is to offer IT services in a package that is understandable, tailor-made and makes sense. Instead of invoicing our support on a pay-as-you-go or prepaid hours basis, we offer a model based on a recurring subscription, with a fixed rate per user per month. This allows companies to benefit from unlimited support, calculate their TCO very easily and control their budget. Our interest is precisely in avoiding interventions.
And we understand that Microsoft’s arrival in Luxembourg in 2026 is an opportunity for you. But why?
Because today an SME has three major concerns: its total cost of ownership, business continuity and data protection, which also includes the issue of sovereignty.
We are widely certified on all Microsoft products, so we have a preference for their public cloud.
Why “Axendix”?
I absolutely wanted a mountain in the name, because I love trekking. For me, the mountain symbolises achievement and growth. I started with the word “ascension”… and since, to get a domain name, you sometimes have to play a bit of Scrabble, we ended up with Axendix.
