This year’s theme

Dementia: a thought for those who forget

Fragments of conversations, words slip out and memories fray... Dementia is a condition that slowly and silently erodes memories, altering the perception and personality of those affected. We need to cultivate a society where people with dementia are not marginalised, but included and valued. Offering our support, our time and our love to those who forget is not only a duty, but also an act of profound humanity.

The Walk

The Walk is a way for visitors to show their support for those affected and their loved ones. It consists of a 30-40 minute walk through the city with a guide. This year, the tour departs from Place Clairefontaine to Place Guillaume II, where participants will discover why this square is also called the “Knuedler,” followed by the grand ducal Palace and the Chamber of Deputies, with explanations of the buildings. Tours depart from Place Clairefontaine at 1.00 pm, 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm. The tours are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

To register, visit or come along on the day. Participation is free of charge.
