To mark International Women’s Day, Delano is asking Luxembourg residents and professionals about the women who have inspired them and why. Lize Griffiths, real estate leader at Deloitte in Luxembourg, pays tribute to three women who have encouraged her personal development.

International Women’s Day “is our season to grow, develop and thrive,” Lize Griffiths told Delano. “May this be the year that we passionately and purposefully reconnect and pay tribute to those women who have shaped us into who we are.”

Griffiths is originally from South Africa and has been working in Luxembourg for 20 years. She wanted to recognise three women.

Griffiths stated: “My first tribute is to the person who impacted me most in terms of personal development: My amazing mom. She always has a positive outlook in any situation, has blessed me with numerous words of encouragement throughout these years, and has instilled the values that I wish to pass on to my daughters and the next generation to come.

“My second tribute goes to the women in my Deloitte family. Since my first working day, there have been so many women who have encouraged me to grow, develop, thrive and be successful. A special tribute to my two female audit leaders and , who have led by example--and encouraged me and others within Deloitte Luxembourg to seize the opportunities we are fortunate to have.”
