Insurance company RSA Luxembourg, which specialises in large corporate risks, has chosen Nadia Cote to succeed Lynn O’Leary as CEO Europe, pending regulatory approvals. Cote “has led an exemplary 25+ year insurance career focused on commercial and specialty lines,” noted a press release from the firm. Previously managing director of Allianz Commercial in the UK, will also assume responsibility for managing the specialty lines UK business.
“Nadia is a well-known industry leader, and we are pleased to have her lead our Europe and UK Specialty Lines groups. She brings established and long-standing relationships with key trading partners whereby we can create regional and global opportunities for customers and continued growth. She will lead our teams and continue to expand our solutions and capabilities, highlight our expertise in underwriting, risk control and claims, while outperforming on profitability in the UK and Europe,” commented T. Michael Miller, CEO, global specialty lines, Intact.
CEO Luxembourg, Lynn O’Leary, has been appointed president, US, of Intact and will lead the specialty lines business from the first quarter of 2025. “Lynn led the transformation of our Europe business to be a focused specialty lines market,” said Miller.
Louis Marcotte, who recently announced he will step down as CFO for Intact Financial Corporation and will become IFC Vice Chair, will serve as interim CEO Europe for a short period to assist with the leadership transition between O’Leary and Cote.
The insurer chose Luxembourg as its European base in June 2017. RSA Luxembourg is part of RSA Insurance Group Limited, registered in England and Wales. Last September, RSA Luxembourg announced the launch of its technology and management liability insurance solutions in Europe.
