Frederik Baert has been appointed wholesale and retail sales manager for Belgium and Luxembourg at Natixis Investment Managers.

Natixis Investment Managers has appointed Frederik Baert as its new manager of wholesale and retail sales for Belgium and Luxembourg. In this role, Baert will focus on strengthening partnerships across the retail, independent financial advisors and wholesale segments within the Belux region, the firm announced on Tuesday.

Baert brings valuable experience to his new position, having started his career in 2015 at Deutsche Bank Belgium as a financial advisor and personal banker. He further honed his expertise in family wealth management while working at an independent financial advisory firm. Most recently, as a business development manager in asset management, he gained a comprehensive understanding of the investment landscape, particularly in the retail and wholesale segments.

Natixis IM offers a wide range of investment strategies, including equities, fixed income, multi-asset and alternative investments, primarily serving institutional and retail clients. As of 30 September 2024, the assets under management of Natixis IM’s affiliated entities totalled €1.279trn. The firm’s strategy in the Belux region is focused on reinforcing its position as a trusted partner and key provider of investment solutions, leveraging the expertise of its affiliated investment managers, stated the firm in a press statement on 19 November 2024.

Baert, who will be based in Belgium, will report directly to Sébastien Sallée, head of Belux at Natixis Investment Managers. Sallée commented in an announcement, “We are pleased to have Frederik join our team. His solid experience in the retail and wholesale segments, along with his focus on building strong client relationships, aligns well with our long-term growth ambitions for the Belux region.”
