Nathalie Morgenthaler is taking over as president of the CNFL. The board was renewed at the general meeting of the council, which works for equality between women and men.

The Conseil National des Femmes du Luxembourg (CNFL) has renewed its executive board. Nathalie Morgenthaler (Femmes Chrétiennes Sociales) is taking over the presidency from Claudine Speltz VanBellingen (Fédération des Femmes Cheffes d’Entreprise du Luxembourg), who will take on the role of treasurer. Joëlle Letsch (Union Luxembourgeoise du Soroptimist International) is replacing Ana Pinto (Femmes Chrétiennes Sociales) as vice president. Janine Reuland (Action Catholique des Femmes du Luxembourg) will become secretary in place of Florence Fischer-Herber (Zonta International Luxembourg Section). And Karin Meyer (Femmes en Détresse) is taking over the position of deputy secretary previously held by Janine Reuland.

The council, which works for equality between women and men, has 12 associations on its board: Action Catholique des Femmes du Luxembourg, Association des Femmes Libérales, CID Femmes et Genre, Femmes Socialistes, Fédération des Femmes Cheffes d’Entreprise du Luxembourg, Femmes Chrétiennes Sociales, Femmes en Détresse, Féminin Pluriel, Union des Dames Israélites, Union des Femmes Luxembourgeoises, Union Luxembourgeoise du Soroptimist International and Zonta International Luxembourg Section.

The CNFL’s 2024 achievements included co-organising the first International Women’s Sports Day in Luxembourg with 11 participating municipalities; holding a conference by Maître Steyer, a lawyer renowned for her defence of victims of violence in France, to mark International Women's Rights Day on 8 March; and the relaunch of the “Voix de Jeunes Féministes” project to raise awareness of feminist issues among the younger generations.
