The annual All American Music Festival, organised by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office, is held on Whit weekend from May 25 to 28, and attracts thousands of visitors ready to stomp their cowboy boots and line-dance, shout Halleluiah and raise their hands up in joy, play air-trumpet to great Dixieland, hear soulful Gospel or belt out the blues.

What started off in 2006 as a support project to raise money for impoverished New Orleans musicians after the devastation of Hurricane Katharina has become a highlight on the Luxembourg festival calendar and has broadened its musical range to include country, swing, jazz, blues and gospel as well as Dixieland.

Held outdoors on the Place Guillaume II and roping in some 8,000 visitors over the weekend, this is not only the place to get your fill of great music, but also to fill up on genuine American treats like hot buttered sweet corn, jambalaya, BBQ ribs, brownies and fudge.
