The first signatories put their names to the Charte de la Diversité Lëtzebuerg during a September 26 ceremony at the Tramsschapp cultural centre. In attendance were Marie-Josée Jacobs, family and integration minister, Xavier Better, mayor of Luxembourg City, and representatives from the European Commission, European Investment Bank and banking trade group ABBL.
The charter aims to boost participation rates--by ensuring employees from all walks of life are valued and included--in the labour market as one way to address Europe’s aging and shrinking population.
More on the diversity charter can be found in the October print edition of Delano, available on newsstands now, and on the organiser IMS Luxembourg’s website.
