The 33rd Migration Festival (officially the Festival des migrations, des cultures et de la citoyenneté) will be held this weekend. The springtime tradition features more than 400 informational stands (representing a wide range of cultural and charitable associations, as well as multilingual media and political outfits), conferences, performances and international food & drink. Most events take place in French.
The Book and Culture Fair (Salon du livre et des cultures du Luxembourg) takes place in parallel, featuring book stands and author talks. The fair also skews Francophone, although it remains quite international.
The Migration Festival is organised by the Comité de Liaison des Associations d’Étrangers and takes place at Luxexpo Friday 11 March from 6pm to 1am, Saturday 12 March from 12noon to 3am, and Sunday 13 March from 12noon to 8pm. Entry is free.
