Having beaten Germany’s Tommy Haas in the first round, Gilles Muller faces Canadian player Milos Raonic on court no. 3. Theirs is scheduled as the second match on court, with play in the first match starting at 1 p.m.

Muller won the AEGON Trophy Challenge tournament in Nottingham earlier this month to move up to no. 93 in the ATP rankings and book a wild card place at Wimbledon. He dispatched Haas in four sets - 7:6 (7:5), 7:6 (7:3), 3:6 and 6:3 – on Monday. His service game was particularly strong as he smashed in 37 aces to beat the former world no. 2 and Wimbledon semi-finalist in 2009.

The challenge Raonic poses will be tougher. The 20 year-old Canadian with Montenegrin roots is currently ranked 25 in the world and is one of the rising stars of men’s tennis. But Muller loves a big crowd and has beaten the likes of Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon and Andy Roddick at Flushing Meadow.
