The Ville de Luxembourg has installed a camera to provide a bird’s-eye view of the new Royal Hamilius Centre under construction in the city centre.
The camera was installed on top of the neighbouring KBL building and takes an image four times an hour, which are then published on the city’s website. In addition to the latest image, the site includes a continually updated time-lapse video of all the pictures taken in the series.
The 36,000 square metre structure will be a mixed use building--featuring commercial, office and residential space--and replaces the 40 year old complex that was partially demolished last year. The new building was designed by the architecture firm Foster + Partners with Tetra Kayser, and is expected to be completed in 2018.
