The building--designed by Luxembourg-based architect Hermann & Valentiny and being constructed by Felix Giorgetti--will be located at a highly visible address, 39 Boulevard John F. Kennedy.
KPMG is one of many organisations--including Ernst & Young, Arendt & Medernach and the European Parliament--consolidating from several different office spaces across Luxembourg to a central location in Kirchberg, according to Vincent Bechet, managing director of real estate management firm Property Partners.
KPMG currently has two buildings in Limpertsberg and one in Strassen. When the new Kirchberg building opens, more than 1,000 staff will work at the single site.
Excavation work began in January and KPMG expects the building to open its doors in 2014.
More on Luxembourg’s real estate market and development on the Kirchberg plateau can be found in the April print edition of Delano, on newsstands now.
