Last minute Valentine’s

Romantic gift guide: Did you forget it was February 14th? Fear not, Delano has a few quick and easy suggestions to help you surprise that special someone.

Comedy or romance

The Utopolis and Ciné Utopia cinemas are offering a “very special ticket price” of six euro per person for its regular film lineup (this does not include 3D movies, for example) “because everyone should be someone’s Valentine,” a company spokeswoman tells Delano. Check out Delano’s Now Playing section to see silver screen options.

The gift of relaxation

Mondorf Domaine Thermal is offering a special “wellness voucher” that includes a romantic and relaxing “imperial bath,” a 25 minute massage, aromatherapy wrap and access to Mondorf’s thermal pool. The St. Valentine’s special is 112 euro person, can be purchased up until February 29 and the spa-day-for-two can be used any time within six months.

The classic choice

Chocolate maker Leonidas has 20 locations in Luxembourg, making it a fairly easy and safe choice for the traditional gift. The Belgian firm says it will be well stocked with boxes of special Valentine’s Day chocolates (photo) ranging from €8.50 to €15.90, along with other classic selections.

Facebook for two

If you are in a long-distance relationship, Alexandra Foretova at the PR agency Keep Contact suggests creating a special Facebook page dedicated to you and your sweetheart. You can share posts, pictures, videos and links that show how smitten you are with your significant other. It certainly is budget friendly, as Facebook is free.

Dinner for two

It is likely that most restaurants with special Valentine’s Day menus will already be fully booked. But those keen on making a last minute reservation can start their table search using Delano’s restaurant guide.
