Following the Wild Wild West bash at Cat Club to launch the magazine in 2011, the London Calling celebration of its first anniversary and last year’s Everything’s Gone Green night, Delano turned to the south Asia subcontinent to mark its third anniversary.

The “Spice it up” soirée, held at the Cat Club in Hollerich, featured food, music and entertainment from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with fabulously fun vibes provided by DJ Nickie Nicole.

Several lucky readers were rewarded with prizes drawn by Delano sponsors:

Agnieszka Zuber won a pair of round trip tickets from Luxair, good for any destination in the airline’s network.

Patrick Brown received a personal language course from Berlitz worth €780.

Emmanuel Bégat won a €150 voucher from Mélange - Inspired by India.

Martin Derfeser and Frédéric Legros picked up make-up packs courtesy of Sephora, whose makeup artists helped bring a slice of south Asia to the Cat Club by applying bindi dots to partygoers.

Last but not least, twenty Delano online readers won a free one year subscription to the print edition.

Delano’s February edition, released during the birthday bash, featured the Grand Duchy’s south Asian community as its cover story, profiling Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans and Nepalese who have all made Luxembourg their home from home.

“Spice it up” and was organised by the paperJam Business Club in cooperation with the Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg.
