 Table Ronde Luxembourgeoise

Duck Race: The annual Duck Race in the Petrusse takes place on Saturday April 20. It is a great fun day out and a valuable fund raiser to aid children in need.

A fun afternoon for all the family, the annual Duck Race on April 20 organised by the Table Ronde Luxembourgeoise is also a great fund raiser. Some 12,000 numbered plastic yellow ducks are released into the Petrusse neat the mini golf course and race downriver to the finish line.

Participants can purchase the number of a duck for five euro each online or from the Luxembourg City Tourist Office and various other sales points. As of Wednesday morning only around 1,000 ducks were left without an “owner”.

The race begins at 3 p.m., but the event begins at noon when the grill is fired up and entertainment is laid on for kids.

Owners of the winning ducks can win great prizes including a Citroën DS3, bicycles, concert tickets, cameras, vouchers for dinner and many more. This year’s beneficiaries are Study-Help asbl and the Foyer Namasté in Mauritius.
