Delhaize Luxembourg has appointed Nicolas Gueuzurian, formerly marketing director & e-commerce director at Auchan, to head up its 63 outlets in the country.

Following the departure of Cédric Gonnet last November, , Delhaize Luxembourg was looking for a new leader to direct its development in the country. Three months later, Delhaize Luxembourg has found its man in Nicolas Gueuzerian, whose appointment was confirmed by the company to Paperjam on Tuesday.

Gueuzurian holds a master's degree in distribution and customer relations from the University of Paris-Dauphine, and has been sharing his expertise at the same institution as a part-time lecturer for over ten years. On the professional side, he joined Auchan Luxembourg in 2013, where he gradually rose through the ranks: first as head of department, then as head of sector in several divisions. He was appointed deputy director of Auchan Kirchberg in 2019, before taking over as head of marketing and e-commerce at Auchan Retail Luxembourg.

Alongside his duties, he is chair of the Luxembourg Digital & E-Commerce Federation and sits on the board of the Luxembourg Retail Federation as well as the Luxembourg Federation of Food and Distribution (FLAD).

As head of Delhaize Luxembourg, he will now be responsible for the group's 63 points of sale in the country, comprising 11 Delhaize supermarkets, 28 Proxy stores and 24 Shop & Go stores.
