A startup specialising in gut microbiome-on-a-chip technology, has just been selected to join the . This is a major accolade for the company, which joins a select circle of 15 startups determined to rethink the future of food and agriculture.
Founded in 2019 by Alberto Noronha and Adam Selamnia, Nium is a spinoff from the University of Luxembourg that develops cutting-edge technologies to analyse the impact of food and ingredients on metabolism and health. Its flagship technology, Microgut, offers an in vitro assessment of the effects of food ingredients on the body, providing valuable data on intestinal health and nutrition.
By joining Startlife Accelerate, Nium will be able to collaborate with leading innovators, investors and researchers in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The startup will also have the opportunity to present its work at the Startlife Demo Day, scheduled for 14 October.
