Luxembourg wellbeing achievement app No Big Deal secured €465,000 in funding to develop the next generation of its product and start scaling operations across the Benelux.

Users of the app complete different fitness challenges and receive brand discounts in return. More than 35,000 users have signed up so far to get rewards from around 50 companies, including Luxair, Adidas and Shell.

“This amazing team has brought to life a concept which supports wellbeing by creating real experiences in collaboration with brands. This unique approach enables both scalable health impact and commercial success,” said Romain Hoffmann, head of investments at the Luxembourg Business Angel Network (LBAN), which led the funding round.

The LBAN invests around €7m a year into scalable start-ups of all sectors in Luxembourg and beyond.

No Big Deal is currently available in the grand duchy and Belgium and users in both countries have together accumulated over one billion steps. “It’s amazing to see the impact the app has on people--not just by encouraging more steps, but by bringing purpose and achievement to everyday wellbeing,” said co-founder Nigel Bergstra.

The company has already begun growing its development team to support the evolution of the app. “It is crucial to offer a differentiated services and experience to our users in an era where hundreds of mobile applications pop up everyday,” said co-founder Quentin Delforge in a statement.
