Global funds services and solutions provider Ocorian has appointed Peter Corry as head of global funds in Luxembourg, it announced on 7 February.

Corry is joining from IQ-EQ--a company in the grand duchy that provides investor services--where he was country delivery director. Corry has experience in the alternative fund industry, as well as background in risk, legal, compliance and regulatory matters.

“Peter’s strong understanding of the global investment funds sector, coupled with his robust governance framework expertise mean he is well placed to lead Ocorian’s Funds business in a fast-growing Luxembourg market,” said co-head of global funds Yegor Lanovenko.

Corry has previously worked as managing director of State Street’s private equity and real estate fund administration business in Luxembourg.

“Luxembourg continues to be an attractive investment hub for international fund managers, and I look forward to working with Ocorian’s expert teams providing a full range of fund administration, Depositary and AIFM services to our growing client base,” said Corry.

Ocorian has $260bn in assets under administration and employs 1,500 professionals. It manages over 17,000 structures on behalf of 8,000 clients including financial institutions, large-scale international organisations, and high-net-worth individuals. The group’s locations include Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Germany, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Netherlands, Singapore, UAE, UK and USA.
