The Young Enterprise Project 2025 was awarded this Tuesday 13 May to the Onsko project, a cultural platform dedicated to local art where private or professional amateurs can sell, buy, or rent works.

There were 28 teams at the start, before six were selected to take part in the Young Enterprise Project 2025 final, which took place this Tuesday 13 May at the Melusina. A programme organised by the Jonk Entrepreneuren in the same way as the Mini-Enterprises, the Young Enterprise Project 2025 was awarded to the Onsko project, a cultural platform dedicated to local Luxembourg art where private or professional amateurs can sell, buy or hire works.

Supported by Pierre Felten, a BTS "Digital Content" student at Lycée Nic Biever Dudelange, the Onsko project aims "to develop local art by making it accessible and visible via access to a local community and dedicated events", explains the Jonk Entrepreneuren press release. "The project's strengths: strong local roots and a response to a real problem."

The second prize was awarded to the "Majestic Event" team, made up of Belé Sousa Morgane, Catarina Pinto, Hannah Gryczka, Calista Dolci, Enzo Scatigno and Andrea Petruzzi, all studying for their BTS at the ECG. This project proposes "exceptional events highlighting local Luxembourg culture". The "Why Buy" team came third, made up of Maroa El Assani, Luna Picco and Lenny Haag, three students in the Hospitality Management BTS at the Ecole d'Hôtellerie et de Tourisme du Luxembourg. "Their project aims to develop a web platform for renting equipment between private individuals in Luxembourg, with the mission of avoiding over-consumption, waste and giving a second life to unused everyday objects," adds the press release.

Proposed at higher education level, the Young Enterprise Project is aimed at young BTS and university students aged between 19 and 30. Teams of 2 to 5 students are formed at the beginning of the school year. Together, they have to produce a business plan based on an innovative idea for a product or service. The winning team will have the opportunity to take part in the European "Gen-E" final organised by Junior Achievement Europe.

The mini-enterprises final will take place on Thursday 22 May.
