Donato Rotunno's "Io sto bene", the Luxembourg film in the running for the Best International Feature Film Oscar, has not made the shortlist of 15 for the 94th ceremony, which will be held in March 2022.

The Academy has announced the shortlist for the Best Foreign Language Film category for the 94th Academy Awards.

On the list are Paolo Sorrentino’s semi-autobiographical The Hand of God, Danish animation film (recently honoured twice at the European Film Awards) Flee by Jonas Poher Rasmussen, apanese film Drive My Car (by Ryusuke Hamaguchi) adapted from a Haruki Murakami short story and Belgian feature A World by Laura Wandel.

No "Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn", nor "Titanium".

There was no place on the list for Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn by Romanian director Radu Jude, co-financed by the Film Fund Luxembourg and Paul Thiltges, which won the Golden Bear at this year’s Berlin Festival. Also conspicuous by its absence is Palme d'or winner Titane by Julia Ducournau.

The 15 films on the long list will be whittled down to five final nominees on 8 February.

It should be noted that no Luxembourg film has so far managed to reach the Academy’s final selection for Best International Feature Film.
